DeadLights Magazine

What they want:
DeadLights Magazine is inspired by the history of Horror Fiction. For many, the immediate association when one says ‘Horror Fiction’ is the Horror Novel, thanks, in part, to legends like Stephen King, Peter Straub, and Shirley Jackson (among many others). What surprises most, we find, is that the history of horror fiction is deeply wound around shorter works of fiction. Much has been done in the Horror genre when it comes to the short story, the poem, and flash fiction. There is still much left to do.
Length: Flash Fiction (300-700 words), Short Fiction (2,000-7,000 words), Poetry (up to 1 page, single spaced)
Payment: $50 for short stories, $10 for flash/poetry + PDF contributor copy
