Dark, literary fiction. Think Jackson, Ligotti, Barker, think the films of Polanski (especially his Apartment Trilogy). Also in search of elevated body horror (Cronenberg), detail-focused historical horror (Simmons, Katsu), character-driven, post-apocalyptic horror in the vein of McCarthy’s The Road, and weird/new weird (dramatic works of Lynch, writings of Evenson, VanderMeer). Bizarro/Splatterpunk stories are welcome, but nothing with shocking elements just for the sake of being shocking. Cosmic horror stories also desired.Length: Fiction between 3,000-7,000 words.
